Terms and conditions

What this is

VIOLOMETER is an experimental, entertainment-oriented scorecard. Monthly figures estimate how often local political camps use violent speech, and where public mood sits versus who governs. Scores are AI-assisted: they are produced with automated models (including Grok) and editorial judgement, and they can be incomplete, biased, or wrong. They are not official statistics, polls, academic publications, investment research, or legal, medical, or political advice.

No reliance

Do not rely on the scores, charts, events, or labels for any decision — including voting, journalism, employment, security, or public policy. Data can be late, incomplete, biased, or simply wrong. Country “left” and “right” labels are local mappings, not universal facts. Event notes are short summaries, not a complete history.

Limitation of liability

Because the site is AI-assisted, scores, charts, events, and labels can be wrong. The operators accept no liability for your use of the site or for reliance on any of that data. You use the site entirely at your own risk.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE IS LIMITED TO ZERO (US$0), because access is free and experimental.

You release us from claims arising out of scores, charts, downtime, or third-party scripts (analytics, CDNs), including claims that AI-assisted data was inaccurate.

How to read this

Scores (0–100) estimate how often each side’s public discourse calls for violence or issues threats. Left and Right are that country’s own camps, not US parties transplanted abroad. In power is who holds the state that month. Public mood is where people sit left–right and liberty–order; who governs is the office-holders’ ideology (slow-moving). Higher violent-speech scores mean more violent rhetoric. Scores are for entertainment and experimental purposes. Full methodology
