PUBLIC vs GOVERNMENT

Lines (left axis): public mood (Spectrum) and who held the state that month on the same left–right axis. Bars (right axis): gap (public − government), autoscaled.

How to read this

Scores (0–100) estimate how often each side’s public discourse calls for violence or issues threats. Left and Right are that country’s own camps, not US parties transplanted abroad. In power is who holds the state that month. Public mood is where people sit left–right and liberty–order; who governs is the office-holders’ ideology (slow-moving). Higher violent-speech scores mean more violent rhetoric. Scores are for entertainment and experimental purposes. Full methodology
